Last Saturday, 3rd September saw us having a rare day out at Royal Dee side, visiting the Braemar gathering - the best highland games.
An hour and a half from Cobblehouse Country Cabins, we set off at 7 am, arriving in plenty of time to see the start of the games.
Busses run from the car park to the gates of the field and again in the afternoon running you back to the car park.
We have never seen such an organised event, everything was clockwork, a number of events going on at the same time, never giving us a dull moment.
Fully recommend this Gathering.
